Conversion rate
To figure your sales conversion rate you only need two numbers. You can figure a conversion rate for any
specified period of time. The first number you need is the number of people who saw or listened to your sales message. I call these “visitors” because they visited my web page.
The second number you need is the number of people who purchased your product. I call this number “sales”. Here’s the simple formula for calculating your conversion rate.
# Sales divided by # of Visitors, and then multiply by 100 to get the percentage. For example, let’s say last month 378 people visited your sales page, and 6 people bought the item. Your conversion rate is 6/378 x 100 = 1.59 percent. Yes, 1.59 percent of your visitors were
“converted” enough to make the purchase.
